Kelsey

Welcome to KMV Therapy and Consulting. I’m Kelsey McVey—a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Anxiety & OCD Specialist—and I’m so glad you’re here.

If you’ve been carrying the weight of anxiety, perfectionism, or the pressure to keep all the plates spinning, you know how exhausting it can feel. Maybe you’ve been told you’re “so strong” or that “you handle everything so well,” yet inside, you’re overwhelmed, burned out, and wondering how much longer you can keep this up. Anxiety has a way of taking over—impacting your relationships, your work, and your sense of self—leaving you stuck in a cycle of doing, pleasing, and pushing through.

But here’s the good news: therapy can help you break free from that cycle. With the right tools, support, and perspective, it’s absolutely possible to quiet the noise of anxiety, reconnect with yourself, and create a life that feels meaningful, balanced, and fully yours.

I bring extensive training in evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Prolonged Exposure. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and yes—often sprinkled with humor. I believe therapy should feel like a safe, non-judgmental space where you can be fully yourself while also finding fresh ways to navigate your struggles. Humor can lighten the weight of anxiety, giving you space to breathe and reclaim your power.

Together, we’ll explore what’s keeping you stuck, challenge the patterns that no longer serve you, and equip you with practical strategies to feel more grounded, confident, and connected.

You don’t have to keep carrying it all alone. This is your space to finally set it down, breathe, and begin moving toward a future that feels lighter, freer, and aligned with the life you truly want.
